Pairing gourmet cuisine with fine wines, East LA Meets Napa is a unique event that celebrates the richness of Latin food and the success of Latino-owned vineyards in California. East LA Meets Napa showcases and honors the roots of our many vintners and families. Located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, East LA Meets Napa is the perfect evening backdrop to relax with friends, family, co-workers and clients. The event sells out early with approximately 2,000 patrons in attendance. Live entertainment graces the stage while patrons enjoy tastings from over 80 top LA restaurants and premium vintners, presented by world-renowned celebrity chefs and vintners.
This year, AltaMed Food and Wine Festival is proud to celebrate the rich history and flavors of Argentina at East LA Meets Napa! Argentina is the largest wine producer in South America and the fifth largest in the world, best known for its versions of classic red wines including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Argentine wines are considered New World wines, but actually have a rich history dating back more than 400 years. Winemaking practices were spread throughout Argentina —much as they would be later, in California — by Spanish missionaries planting vines to ensure a supply of sacramental wines. Join us at East LA Meets Napa, as we proudly celebrate the cultural blending of wine and cuisine Argentina has to offer!
